Dawid Szymonowicz is the new player of Pasy!

We know yet another transfer of the oldest sports club in Poland during the summer transfer window. A 25-year-old defender, Dawid Szymonowicz, joined our team! The player comes to Cracovia on loan from Jagiellonia Bialystok until the end of the season 2020/21 with the option of a definite transfer.

Born in Lidzbark Warmiński, the player quickly climbed up the local football structure during the first years of his career. In the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, he first represented a team from his hometown, Polonia, moving soon to DKS Dobre Miasto and OKS 1945 Olsztyn. The game in the last of the teams has resulted with a move to the biggest team in his family land - Stomil.

Szymonowicz became a player of "Warmia's Pride" at the age of 16, quickly becoming a first-team player. During 3 and a half year of playing for Stomil he has gained the necessary experience at senior football, playing 57 games in the Polish Cup and second league level. He also scored a goal four times, achieving one key pass. A talented young player had also the interest of coach Marcin Dorna - in 2015 Szymonowicz has represented Poland four times in the U-20 team.

In the first days of January in 2016, the defender became a player of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa team, Jagiellonia Bialystok, whose colors he still represents today. At that time, he worked for the first time with the First Coach of the Pasy's team, Michał Probierz, who then led the team from Podlasie.

During the first round in the highest Polish league class Dawid Szymonowicz successfully got into the team, playing eight games and scoring one goal. Over next years, however, the player began to search for games at other clubs. In recent years he has played for Slovak FC Zlaté Moravce, as well as Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza and Raków Częstochowa. In each of these teams, he quickly found a place in the first eleven, becoming an important part of the team.

In the PKO BP Ekstraklasa 2019/20 games, Szymonowicz appeared in 20 matches for Raków and Jagiellonia Bialystok - the majority of them full-time. Today, he stays at the highest level of competition in Poland, coming to the Pasy's team. David, welcome!
