Jacek Zieliński: We will have much more room for manoeuvre
Here’s what coach Jacek Zieliński had to say ahead of our clash against Piast Gliwice on Saturday.

Heres what coach Jacek Zieliński had to say ahead of our clash against Piast Gliwice on Saturday.

‘Damian Dąbrowski is making progress with his ongoing rehabilitation. Piotr Polczak accrued eight yellow cards and will miss the next game. Apart from them everyone else is ready to take part in todays training and go to Gliwice. We shouldnt exaggerate saying that our defensive line gives me a headache. There are always some problems to be dealt with. Deleu will be back after injury and Kuba Wójcicki is back to good health which allows us much more room for manoeuvre, said coach Jacek Zieliński.

The coach also talked about Cracovias next rival and getting ready for the postseason: ‘If you are just one point shy of being top of the Ekstraklasa, you are the real deal when it comes to your chances to win the championship. We have to remember to judge Piast based on the whole season. I think it is possible for teams to try to reach top form for the playoffs, but there is no break after the regular season which makes it all the more difficult. You can try to be in best shape in the postseason like Lech Poznań did last year, but you have to take into consideration injury and yellow cards problems. We are preparing for particular games as we dont have time for any training cycles. I said many a time that the spring was going to be more difficult for us, but I hoped for a better result. We didnt win that many points, we have to eat humble pie and try to win in the upcoming fixtures. Playing for one and a half points is over.

‘Tomáš Vestenický was loaned to Cracovia to help the team. He reached good shape at the right moment, in a couple of games did good coming off the bench and played his way into the starting line-up against Śląsk Wrocław. He is making progress, but he joined a team for whom it is not the best period. What is more, it is just the beginning of his senior career. In my opinion he is a very good player, with high potential, Jacek Zieliński praised Tomáš Vestenický, who is spending the second part of the 2015-16 season at Cracovia on loan from AS Roma.
