Mateusz Cetnarski: There is no team whose defence cannot be breached
‘We lost to Legia and Lech and now we have to work hard in training to improve our game and do better in the upcoming fixtures,’ says Mateusz Cetnarski.

‘We lost to Legia and Lech and now we have to work hard in training to improve our game and do better in the upcoming fixtures, says Mateusz Cetnarski.

    - On Saturday you created twice as many chances as Legia - probably you didnt deserve to lose?

    - I rewatched the game and I think a draw would be a fair result. The truth is we would be happy had we gained one point both against Legia and Lech. We cannot go to extremes as in the last two games we faced the Polish champion and the runner-up. Obviously we wanted to win three points also in these games, but we would be content with draws. We are unhappy about the defeats. Even though we played well, we lost points.

    - During the post-match press conference coach Zieliński said he was proud of the team.

    - We are always well-aware of whether we did good or bad. We know we set the bar high on Saturday, however at the end of the day we need to gain points and not play in style which is nice to watch. We lost two games and now we have to work hard in training to improve our game and do better in the upcoming fixtures.

    - As you said now you have to move on. On Sunday Cracovia take on Pogoń Szczecin.

    - We are yet to have a briefing, we will analyze the game with Legia. Only then I will be able to say that this chapter is closed. However, on Tuesday we have started preparing for the match against Pogoń Szczecin. They are our direct rival in the Ekstraklasa as they are just one place below us in the league table. They are a great team and especially when they are playing at home they are hard to stop. Despite a few draws during the last few weeks they will be a difficult rival for us. We have to do our best to win three points.

    - Pogoń are strong in defence - together with Legia they conceded the fewest goals in this Ekstraklasa season.

    - Thats right. Pogoń are well-organized, especially in defence - coach Michniewicz is famous for that. It has to be said that Pogoń are doing really well this season. When we faced them last autumn they were very defensive-minded and waited for counter attacks. In the first half we struggled to break through their defence, but after the break we proved that there is no team whose defence cannot be breached as we scored four times and deservedly won 4-1. This Sunday we also want to gain three points.
